Dansk of Denmark

Dansk of Denmark is a young label in Copenhagen with a taste for the unique sweet street styles of the Danish capital. It has become commonly known with the help of bloggers and red carpet shots of their items. Actresses and singers in Denmark already love the brand and it is becoming increasingly popular. The fashion styles invented by the creative designers are multifaceted and can be worn according to any preference. Many of the clothes are very feminine and classic, but some styles are for wilder girls that like to be the centre of the attention and have a great night out on the dance floor.
Many concepts are reflective of a small, independent label, such as giving a 10% discount to students permanently and asking young Danish girls to be amateur models for their line. These aspects make the label all the more appealing and it remains to hope that they can become very successful and stay down to earth in their charming way at the same time.

Our pick: tough choice, since all of the pieces are original and feminine. We want the beige top/red skirt outfit, please.

Bestseller Part Two

We don't want to marginalise anyone, so here it goes, dudes:
Jack & Jones is the third of more than ten Bestseller retailers. Jocks, preps, punks, posers, you will all find your attire at Jack & Jones. The denims represent a casual yet active style and can be dressed up and down depending on the occasion. Jeans, Premium and Vintage are the three major lines that provide for a full spectrum of suitable pairs. Time for a party with the ONLY girl? Better be prepared and wearing some cool jeans from Jack & Jones.

Our pick (for the boyfriend): the Stan justin jj 510 from the vintage collection – and a milk stripe scarf. And we're nice here, you get to choose which one it ought to be :-).

The Bestseller Empire

Bestseller was founded in 1975 and has brought about several young European fashion retailers like Vero Moda, ONLY and Jack & Jones. Today, there are more than 5500 stores in more than 40 countries, which makes the company one of the biggest fashion retailers in Europe.

The Vero Moda label was even able to convince Gisele Bündchen to be the face of the 2007/2008 campaign. It was founded in '87 with the aim of providing the latest trends at affordable prices. Since then, the brand has expanded across the globe to countries like China or Canada and continues to walk along the path of growth and success. Young women love the fashionable designs that reflect the latest runway trends.

Our pick: the spring-summer campaign WP Linca ss top in white. Dreamy.

ONLY… rocks. The website is very distinct from Vero Moda, which is more feminine and romantic. ONLY is the bad little sister that rocks out late at night, gets into trouble and will benefit from her sensible older sister's cover story. Whew, that was close! So if you know what that feels like you can take it to a new level and display it with ONLY fashion items. Loud, proud and bold it is, ladies. There is a lot of fun to be had on the official website and many fashion trends can be discovered.

Our pick: Sanganer Jumpsuit from the pre-summer collection. Fab hippy style!

Danish Brands

Mimic Copenhagen

A young label, Mimic Copenhagen has already sealed the deal when it comes to extremely fashionable shoes and handbags. The designs are feminine and elegant, each pair of ballet flats or sandals can dress up any outfit. Accessorised with star designs and brass ornaments, they create their own aura of glamour and accentuate any lady's outfit. Some mocassin style flats are also included in the current collection and they look truly comfortable.
The handbag collection continues this school of thought with classy, down-to-earth designs and neutral colours, starting with black and venturing out into rose and creme tones. This brand will continue to set new trends, not follow them. Take a walk down that road in a pair of stylish Mimic Copenhagens.

Our pick: M111604 wild leather wedges from the current collection. Love!

Ichi

It takes one to know one – this goes for the fashion designer ICHI. In 1999 it was founded by a group of young and creative people from Denmark, who wanted to express their love for clothes. Young, hip fashion groupies are the target of this brand, which is inspired by New York City's vibrant lifestyle and visuals. With ICHI clothes, every day is a day of fashion week and any stroll through the city is a runway show.

Our pick: i-kiza-dr1 dress from the Spring 2011 campaign. Yummy.

The Street Styles

There's a great blog that used to monitor the street styles of the Danish capital. Unfortunately, it is not being updated anymore, but the archives are definitely eye candy. No wonder there are so many fresh young Danish trend labels around ready to conquer the world: they get their inspiration from the beautiful people living in Denmark. They have a great and unique sense of style that is different from the big fashion capitals. More edgy, more self-confident and more fun. Here's another one to check out:
